Conversation #1 - Birdielight: Fentynal Awareness and Education

BirdieLight is a nonprofit educational initiative founded in 2021 by Dr. Beth Weinstock after a family tragedy to provide life-saving information for young Americans aged 14-25 about the fentanyl public health crisis. BirdieLight's goal is to change the conversation around fentanyl and remove the stigma and isolation associated with opioids so that all young people in America can access information that will move them closer to safety.

Conversation #2 - College Financial Planning with Keystone Financial Services

Ryan Fleming, from Keystone Financial Services shares ways to help families that want to learn how to pay for college without spending their life savings. He will also guide a discussion about what is new in federal financial aid, financial literacy tips, and strategies to save for working families.

Conversation #3 - Sex Trafficking Awareness and Education PLUS Self-Defense Training

In this special collaborative community conversation, attendees get a choose-your-own experience. January is Sex Trafficking Awareness Month and we want to present opportunities to educate and empower our communities.

No RSVP required.

Option 1: Sex Trafficking Awareness and Education by Walking Wise founder/CEO, Ms. Karla Highman, will share the warning signs, dangers, and prevention methods in our society's battle against sex and human trafficking through a unique presentation aimed at all age groups.

Option 2: Self-Defense Training, provided by the Eastland-Fairfield Adult Basic Police Officer Training Program
Join the staff and cadets of the EFCTS Basic Police Officer Training program in an interactive self-defense class. Attendees will learn how to defend themselves in a variety of situations using practical tactics and techniques.

Conversation #4 - Can You See Me Now?

Hilliard Awareness and Recover Together (HART) creates a simulated teen bedroom to identify potential warning signs of drug and alcohol use and risky behavior. The mission of HART is to promote awareness of how the Heroin epidemic and other substance abuse affects Hilliard and surrounding areas; educate the community on how to prevent and reduce opiate/prescription and other drug abuse; stand ready to address new drug trends; and provide mental health resources to foster a healthy lifestyle.​
