Auto Body & Paint

Program Overview

Students explore the details of collision repair, structural materials and technological advances, including the ins and outs of auto body construction, surface prep, dent repair, welding and cutting. Students will learn to replace or repair and paint damaged body panels and how to straighten the frame of cars twisted from the force of an accident. Students also learn the art of fabrication of restored vehicles including custom painting and airbrushing. This program is part of the national AutomotiveYES program that enables qualified students to work alongside master technicians during their senior year and earn a paycheck at the same time.
