Between the three SkillsUSA chapters within the Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools district, more than 80 students have qualified to compete at the 2024 SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference. 

After the final count was tallied, 90 Eastland-Fairfield students have been reported to have qualified for the SkillsUSA state competition, which will be held April 9-10. These students come from Eastland Career Center (Groveport), Fairfield Career Center (Carroll), and a satellite SkillsUSA chapter that combined students from programs housed at Gahanna Lincoln High School and New Albany High School.

A total of seven individual regional champions were crowned while three teams took top honors in their respective categories. Twelve individuals and two teams earned runner-up honors. Three individuals and one team also earned a place on the podium with third-place finishes.

The SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships brings over 5,000 competitors, business and industry partners, instructors, and vendors together in over 100 contests in all 16 career pathways to showcase career and technical Education in Ohio. Students compete for the title of best in Ohio in their respective career fields. State-level competitions will begin in late March and be held through April 9 at various locations. The SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships and its award ceremonies will be held on April 9-10 at The Greater Columbus Convention Center.
