Female Multimedia students are excited to hear their name called on stage at the BPA Region 14 conference.

The students of the Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Multimedia program continued its longstanding tradition of strong performances at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) competition. A total of 15 students will be advancing to state competition after taking top honors in their respective events at the BPA Region 14 conference held in late January.

Macy Erickson (Pickerington North) and Logan Crawford (Pickerington North) competed as individuals and each took first place in their events. Crawford took gold in the Fundamentals of Web Design competition while Erickson did the same in the Digital Media Production event.

Four different teams of students competed and took the top spot on the podium, stamping their tickets to the state competition in the process. Eastland-Fairfield will have teams representing the school at the state competition in the following events: Podcast Production, Visual Design, UX (user experience) Design, and Video Production.

For a list of all the top finishes among the Multimedia students, please see the list below.

The students and teams that recorded a first-place finish in their event will meet at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus on March 7 to take part in the 2024 State Leadership Conference. The Awards Day will be held the following day at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The Multimedia program is housed at Pickerington High School North and is one of eight satellite programs offered to 11th and 12th-grade students by Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools. The EFCTS Pickerington North chapter is one of two BPA chapters sponsored by Eastland-Fairfield.
