Families, staff and community members can now have instant access to Eastland-Fairfield through its recently-launched mobile app.

Families, staff and community members can now have instant access to Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools through its new mobile app. The app is available for Android and Apple users, now.

Users that download the Eastland-Fairfield mobile app will be able to access the most commonly accessed parts of the website with ease from their smartphone, iPad, tablet, or other supporting device. The app was designed with current students and families in mind so that information like absence reporting, calendars, dining menus, Board policies, and systems like PaySchools and ProgressBook became more accessible. Calendars across the district are also available and specific events can be integrated into a user’s personal calendar with just a few taps.

The mobile app has been long awaited and was a part of the decision in selecting Eastland-Fairfield’s web service provider partner, Apptegy.

“Having a mobile app was part of the plan to extend Eastland-Fairfield’s reach and make it more accessible to a growing and diverse population,” said coordinator of marketing and communications, Ryan Gasser. “We believe that launching this app will not only achieve that but also strengthen communication with our families and staff.”

The EFCTS mobile app can also send notifications to staff, students, and community members on matters such as calamity days, emergencies, and other timely matters that need attention. The app also allows flexibility for users to subscribe to the sections of the app that are relevant to their needs.

Gasser also cites that the app allows for flexibility and change so that it can adapt to the needs of its users.

“The beauty of partnering with Apptegy and using its mobile app is that if users identify a need we have the ability to address it promptly. This app is for our entire EF community, so if we need to make a change or explore a feature we do not yet use we can and will look into making changes that will benefit us all.”

The app is free and available for download in the App Store by searching “Eastland-Fairfield Career & Tech”.
