Adult Workforce Development is now enrolling for its fall adult programming, which will debut two new programs in addition to its regular core classes. New to Eastland-Fairfield will be the Plumbing and Facilities Maintenance programs, which will be housed at Eastland Career Center in Groveport. Both programs offer “Learn and Earn” opportunities with their business partners, allowing participants to earn a paycheck while gaining the knowledge and experience that will create a direct path toward future employment. Both programs will begin in the last week of August and offer up to nine certifications to ensure employment readiness.

In mid-September, the Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting will restart and begin preparing students for a career in a medical-related industry. Students will earn industry-recognized certifications and complete their program in less than one year before entering a set of in-demand fields.

A third medical program is set to begin in October 2022. Enrollment will soon be open for Eastland-Fairfield Adult Workforce Development’s State Tested Nurse Assistant program, which will prepare learners for the first steps in a healthcare career pathway.

Eastland-Fairfield AWD also offers WeldingHVAC, and Basic Police Officer Training through the Eastland Career Center Police Academy. All programs are tuition-based and can be completed in approximately nine months.

A limited number of seats remain available for fall programs. Enroll will remain open through the first week of classes or until classes are filled. Students may begin the registration process by going to www.EastlandFairfield.com/AWDRegister, or may contact AWD Student Services by phone (614-836-4541, ext. 1537) or email (AWDadmissions@efcts.us). A complete list of fall program start dates is listed below.
