The students of Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools’ Multimedia satellite program stole the show at the recent Business Professionals of America (BPA) national conference. Two teams qualified for the competition, both finished second or better, and one laid claim to the title: National Champion.

The future is bright for the Multimedia program, which is housed at Pickerington High School North. A foursome of juniors banded together and took first place, nationally, in the Website Design Team competition. The team included Ella Cox, Emma Nowlin, Will Meyer, and Caden Watts, all students from Pickerington High School North.

The students of the Multimedia program were not done representing that weekend. A trio of seniors, including Josh Furillo (Pickerington North), Nate Jones (Pickerington North), and Mary Chesnut (Liberty Union) combined to finish second overall in the User Experience (UX) Design team category.

Eastland-Fairfield witnessed two additional top-10 placements at the BPA National Conference. The Software Engineering team from Eastland Career Center took sixth place, nationally, in their respective category. The team was comprised of recent graduates Montez Boyd Starks (Groveport Madison), Dylan Burton (Teays Valley), Diego Mendoza (Groveport Madison), and Dylan Miller (Groveport Madison).
