Students enrolled in the Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Marketing & Logistics Management satellite program had a remarkable showing at the 2022 DECA Ohio Career Development Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. Six students finished first place in the state in their respective events, while a total of 14 qualified to compete at the DECA International Conference in late April.

Juniors Selin Boztepe (Groveport Madison) and Kevin Inguil (Whitehall Yearling) both earned state titles in the Entrepreneurship and Principles of Finance competitions, respectively. Price Cooper (Sr., Groveport Madison) and Dillon Randleman (Sr., Groveport Madison) partnered to take home first place in the Travel and Tourism event, while Noah Trapasso (Sr., Groveport Madison) and Cohen Hartner (Sr., Groveport Madison) took home gold in the Entrepreneur Team competition.

The trio of Dillon Comer (Sr., Groveport Madison), Natalie England (Sr., Groveport Madison), and Lindsey Jones (Sr., Groveport Madison) teamed up to deliver a presentation on the operation of The Cruiser Shop, a brick and mortar spirit store located inside Groveport Madison High School, which also has an online presence. Their presentation qualified the team for the DECA national competition.
The DECA International Career Development Competition, where the national competition will take place, will be held April 23-26 in Atlanta, Georgia.
