On October 1, 2021, Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools became a member of the National School Lunch Program, allowing the District to offer meals to its students at no cost.
All students at the Eastland and Fairfield Career Center campuses will now be eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch at their campus cafeteria through May 2022.
Meals and items offered through the Culinary program at Eastland Career Center, à la cart and specialty items, and items from the FCC coffee shop are not included in the NSLP.
Students and families do not need to apply or register in order to be a part of the NSLP. Students that bring their own food may supplement their meal with an item(s) provided by their campus cafeteria. To view all school menus, please visit www.EastlandFairfield.com/menu.
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.
